I wonder why when I play a project while I'm editing, it goes slowmotion.
Audio goes ok, but image plays slowly.
I'm using now Corel Video Studio X8 Ultimate.
Sorry I'm not sure if I splain it right!

Re: Slow Video Studio X8
Hi alfons
Some video types especially AVCHD can be quite demanding in the pc.
Playback on the timelines can suffer, become slow and stutter, this can affect video and audio.
Video Studio has a process called Smart Proxy, this creates additional files used to help editing and Project playback.
Go to Settings Smart Proxy Manager – Enable Smart Proxy.
Now select all video clips on the timeline, Shift Click first and last, then right click for Create Smart Proxy Files.
Any files added to the timeline will have proxy files creates automatically.
The process does take a while to create the proxy files, be patient.
Does that help timeline playback.

Thanks Iata.
I'm doing everything you have suggested and waiting...
I suppose as you say it takes a while, it doesn't allow me to do anything until it finishes...???

Re: Slow Video Studio X8
Yes you can continue editing, proxy files are created in order from the first clip.
View Settings Smart Proxy Queue, when that is empty the process is complete.
A small icon will be seen on the clip on the library or timeline.

Re: Slow Video Studio X10
I have a problem with my Surface Pro 4 (8GB RAM, Intel i5 at 2.5GHZ). I load the video to the story line and it plays alright, but editing becomes a problem, since if I stop or pause or crop the clip or simply scroll back or forward, it takes a good 15 seconds for the program to respond and play the edited video again. I have enabled proxy and all the accelerators to no result.
