Cannot render

Post by pepegota »

I cannot render in VS Pro X8. It stops at 99% or when it completes, the file is corrupt.
It stops at 99% when rendering to 1280 X 720. At 1920 X 1080, it completes but the file is corrupted, Tsmuxer will not accept it. I tried reinstall to no avail. I tried it on my other Sandy Bridge Computer with the same result. Perhaps the software is damaged? I am taking the corrupted file and using a video converter to go from 1920 X 1080 to 1280 X 720. I was able to convert and burn successfully but, what a mess. The video files are from a Panny TM900 camcorder. Windows 7, 64 bit OS with a 4790K i7 processor. I never had any such problems with VS in the past.
One more annoyance. I am not getting what I see on the screen when played on Blu-Ray. Heads where chopped off that should have been displayed. HURRRRRRR.

Hi pepegota

I own a Panasonic 900 that records to SD card I can record to 50P / 60P or 25fps/29.97 file format MTS.

I have no problems using these files with Video Studio X8, no problems with earlier versions either. I can edit render to MTS and burn DVD or Bluray without any issues.

If it were simply a Video Studio problem then I and many others would also have problems. I know Brian has a Panasonic 700 and that creates the same files as 900, I am sure he does not have problems.

So what’s different with your pc.
Have you installed Codec packs, other converter software that may have corrupted the codecs on the pc.
I don’t use txmuxer, what is it? and why do you feel you need that for your Panasonic files?

Is there any reason to convert your original files to 1280 x 720?

No problems at all with the 1920 x 1080 MTS files in either X7 or X8 as far as I am concerned.

or the same size m2ts files which I get if I import with HD writer

This is very strange. It renders 1920X1080, 60i with no problems but 60P is a disaster. It is doing this on two different computers and in he past it was not a problem. Very strange indeed!
I made another project with the same files and it rendered just fine. The original VSP file, most likely was damaged. Things are back to normal.
