Sound wave freezes VideoStudio X7
I have been using VideoStudio X7 without problems for several months. Now when I load the sound wave the program freezes. I have tried letting it sit, I have tried deleting the files and re-importing, and I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the program. Why did this start suddenly and how do I fix it??

Re: Sound wave freezes VideoStudio X7
Since we have no idea of what you are talking about when you say you have loaded a "sound wave", it is impossible to answer. Do you mean you are trying to load a standard .wav file? If so, where did it come from? Please right click on its properties and copy them here or else take a screen grab of the Properties box and upload it here as an Attachment...

Re: Sound wave freezes VideoStudio X7
Sorry about than Ken,
I have an MP4 video to be edited. It is just someone giving a speech - so it is very little movement. The full speech is in four segments. The voice is hard to hear and I need to take buzzing out of the background. I split the audio from the video file - for two reasons - 1/to apply audio filters; 2/to increase volume. The only way I know how to increase the volume (in addition to audio filters) is to hit the sound mixer toggle button so the sound wave appears and then adjust the volume. The first segment (sometimes first two segments) load - but then the program freezes.
Hope this explains better -

Re: Sound wave freezes VideoStudio X7
But what is the format of the audio in the mp4? Is it AAC or something else? Again, right clicking and selecting Properties should tell you...
