I have finished projects with menu and first clip as introductory video.
Aha, I store all files in disc ( not some place as during processing a projects).
Now I try to check how is working VS x8 with “old” projects and surprise.
In EDIT , I can relink all files but when I going to workspace SHARE ( save project to disc) coming problem.
Windows close VS x8 ( By test I found that this problem coming when clip used as introductory video is not in place stored in project. I have not chance to relink video used as first clip as introductory video.
Who can help me.? I have many projects with vacation movies and not way to remember all original directories of files

Re: VS x8 problem with old projects
If you RIGHT click on one of the clips that does relink one of the options you will see is "Locate on computer" - use that and hopefully you were sensible and put them all in the same place so you should be able to locate the missing one.
In VideoStudio now go to "Share >> Disc >> DVD" and in the authoring window delete the 'First Play' clip - now using the icons at the top left corner import the clip again and place it at the beginning of the disc authoring timeline.
continue from there to create a DVD

Hi sylwester
I have been able to replicate your problem, unfortunately I cannot fix the problem.
You must locate the file used in First Clip and move it back to its original position on your hard drive.
When you do Share Disc the burner module opens, the First Clip shows its name at the bottom of the thumbnail maybe that will help locating the file.
Video Studio does indeed crash????
When you open the project, why are the projects requesting a re-link? have you moved the files and project on your hard drive?
The first re-link window shows the last location of your files, is that the original location for the First Clip?
If that location exists move the First Clip back there?
You should contact Corel Support to report this problem, I doubt if they can fix for existing work but should fix for new projects?
I will try a few more options but from the tests I have done I doubt if I can fix, other than moving the First Clip.

Re: VS x8 problem with old projects
Hi sylwester
More testing …… Some things to try…………
1 / Make a copy of the project file VSP so as to preserve the original.
2 / Open “VSP Copy” and re-link all clips in timeline. Save the project (File – Save)
3 / Share – Disc I assume DVD, opens the burner module, this will crash the program.
4/ Make a note of First Clip name, then close the program.
5 / Share – Disc –DVD Whilst opening “burner module” press Keyboard Delete button, this will remove all from timeline.
6/ Close
7 / do not save – Cancel
8 / Share Disc DVD to open Burner Module.
9/ First Introductory clip removed, project file shows as ok, menu may show as ok?
10 / locate Introductory file on hard drive and add again.

Hi sylwester
Open your project
Share Disc – choose AVCHD not DVD
That will open the burner module and allow you to re-link for the First Clip, the full address being shown.
The program does not crash, at least that’s what happens for me.
Close,
Share Disc – DVD will open the burner module ok.
Note:-
if I choose DVD or Bluray the program crashes.
If I choose AVCHD I get a re-link, no crashes.
