umm... CAN ANYONE AT COREL ANSWER MY QUESTION FROM AUG 2014

Post by dcn8ive »

Below is my initial question. At that point I was using the trial version of PSP X7. I upgraded to full version, and have YET to be able to use the 64bit version because of this problem.

Won't be upgrading again unless this can be resolved.

Startup Splash Screen / Initializing Tracker Crash

Postby dcn8ive on Sat Aug 30, 2014 2:51 am
Hi All

I am running Win 8.1 64 bit.

When I try to launch the trial version of PSP X7, it crashes on the splash screen right as it's "initializing tracker."

Any clue as to what might be the prob?

Thanx,
JW

Perhaps someone at Corel can answer you, but this forum is end-users and Corel rarely comes here. However, there are some very smart people here who may be able to help. Good luck getting the problem fixed. I'm sure the knowledgeable people here will try. How many times have you tried to contact Corel? While their customer support is not the strongest, they usually try to answer one or two questions when you first get their software.
Adverts for Corel products when you close PSP don't bother me.

Have you tried contacting Corel on one of their official contact points such as - - https://www.facebook.com/corelsupportlearning?fref=ts

Any members who actually work for Corel and visit these forums are part of the development team - not customer support.

When all else fails you can try resetting the application. Press and hold the shift key while clicking on the shortcut to start PSP. You'll be asked if you want to reset to defaults (or something like that); click yes. That might just work.

If Facebook is the only option that gets Corel's attention, then I have bought my last version of PSP.

Not the only option - you can if you wish go to the Corel website and raise a support ticket - providing you are prepared to pay up front.
