Hi,
I'm using VSPX6 Ultimate to edit 1920x1080 .MOV files from my iphone 5 - one or two of the clips have to be rotated 90 degrees and when I do this, the preview window pic gets really small, about 300x200 pixels, and VSP renders the finished file at this small size even when I've chosen 1080 or Ultra HD mp4.
Why is the preview not filling the edit window as it should, and why is the output file the wrong size? I've not had this problem with any other file formats, including .mov files from other devices/cameras. Thanks.
Problem with size of output video from iphone mov files

Re: Problem with size of output video from iphone mov files
Welcome to the forums!
I guess your problem is that your video filmed with the camera held in Portrait rather than Landscape mode, has been reduced in the iPhone itself. I understand some very recent phones, or at least aps, can correct this in the phone, but I don't know about the iPhone.
Apart from remembering in future to hold the phone horizontally, rather than upright, when filming, the only other thing I can think of to suggest would be to put the rotated clips in one of the overlay tracks instead of the main timeline. See my attached image. You can then drag on the yellow blocks around the video until it fills the screen. (You can also set Preferences > Edit to "Use fit-to-screen as default size in overlay track" to do this automatically.)

I bet you took the video vertically! Try it for a horizontal video and your should not have to do any rotation.
