Hello, This is a first post. I installed a dvd copy of pspx6 on a new asus ultrabook (ux305) and recieved an error message, "the application failed to start because its side by side configuration is incorrect...". I tried control panel, repair program, with no success. I also reinstalled in 32bit and 64 bit with no success.
I don't know what else to do.
I do have the program successfully installed on an older (win vista) laptop. I do not know if trying a second installation is causing the problem and if so would uninstalling from the older laptop would help.
Thanks in advance for any info.

Re: installation problem psp x6
Although I have never heard of that error message before, on doing a quick Google search I found that it is not a problem with PSP as such, but with Microsoft's C runtime libraries: http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2525435
Whatever it is, it is not caused by your other installation on the other laptop. The EULA for PSP allows you to install it on up to 3 computers. So definitely don't uninstall the working version.

Thank you Ken for your help.
I read the Microsoft file and it involved making changes to the registry which I will not venture into. I'll use pspX6 on the older computer and something else on the new one, either Picasa or Photoshop Elements .
I was on Amazon and saw an offer for PSPX7 Ultimate whih included Perfectly Clear, a face retouching program and also several Topaz plugins as a download for $99.00. If anyone is familiar with this offer I would appreciate feedback on its utility and value. It seems like a very good deal.
Thanks again Joe P

No, that is way too high a price to pay!!drjoe4321 wrote: I was on Amazon and saw an offer for PSPX7 Ultimate whih included Perfectly Clear, a face retouching program and also several Topaz plugins as a download for $99.00. Try the Corel site. I'm not sure where you are located but these are US prices.
