I am confused with pro 8, can you burn blue rays discs.
I read you have to pay to do this, is it a one off payment and if so do we know how much it is, as all the discs I do are blue ray

Yes you can burn bluray discs with X8 BUT to do so you must purchase download and install the bluray plug-in from the Corel website - it is a one -off payment.
It is not very expensive - for me in the UK it is £5.99 GBP - but I do not know where you live so cannot give the price in your country

When you purchase the main program you are given the opportunity to buy the Bluray add-on..........
You could try creating an AVCHD folder then use ImgBurn to burn the folder to Bluray disc.
I think that would work although the data rate may be limited to 20000kbps.
