i have the following problem. If i use the Pan/zoom function on highres pictures the resolution gets very bad anyway (screenshot 1). Altough the pictures resolution is big enough. If i use other software for zooming it is sufficient (screenshot 2)!
I tried already with other filetypes (TIF, BMP, PNG instead of JPEG)
What do i wrong?
hey, thank you for your answer but i think i didnt get it!? Do you mean the VS project resolution? It is at 3840 x 2160 pixels, how do i check this on Irfan view?
Or did you just want to tell me that it will not work?
There were some tests done with earlier versions of video studio, zooming to a map was particularly hard to retain full quality. The text seemed to suffer a lot.
The preview screen displays at 1920 x 1080 so adding a larger image is not gonna display all its pixels / resolution, but does help a little when zooming in.
The latest version of VS will allow for a larger video resolution, what are you intending to create, rendering the video to 4K or HD 1920?
Interestingly from F6 Preferences – Edit tab deselecting Apply anti-flickering filter seemed to help retain a little more quality, quite critical when viewing the difference.
My best solution, the same as your approach, create a high quality image of the area, start the zoom and at about 80% crossfade to the new image.
With a little practice I was able to get a good transition.
