Can't save a script in X7 after SP2

I also posted this question on Corel Your Way. I have rebooted my computer, reset to default by holding down the shift key. X7 won't save even the simplest script now, but will run old scripts. This is the error message I get when trying to save the script:

Have you verified the folder it's trying to save the script in? If you change the location does it make a difference?

Yes, I have, created the folder at the time of attempt to save the script.

This problem has resolved itself without any change that I made, other than resetting with the shift key. But that didn't solve it right away. I had 14 Windows updates, and that might have fixed it, can't tell.

There are a few issues with X7 after installing Servicepack 2.
The functions in the layerpalette are greyed out.
I replaced them with the icons for those functions, but after 15 Windows updates in 3 days, those are gone again.
In its place are the greyed out functions in text again.
Not sure what is caused by Servicepack 2 and what by all these Windows update.
