Missing Icon
All of a sudden my "show all tracks " icon disappeared. I cannot see the track designators. I reinstalled to no avail. Program is crippled.

Re: Missing Icon
No, but it could fail. This again shows the need for an image backup. Every time I make a major change to the computer, I back it up with Macrium Reflect. A simple restore brought me back and all is well. Before this happened, I installed Memory Mixer 4. It said it had to install Quicktime, of which the latest version was already installed. I uninstalled QT and reinstalled their version which was out of date. Their software only works with specfic versions of QT as others, I later found out, have had the same problem. After that, VS could not display the "show all visible tracks icon." This could have been the cause but, I am not reinstalling Memory Mixer again to find out.

Re: Missing Icon
F7 restores your VideoStudio window to it's default view
it sounds as though you have moved the window containing the timeline and icons to the left - pressing F7 should restore the default
If F7 is not easily accessible on your PC then try "Settings >> Layout settings >> Switch to >> Default"

Re: Missing Icon
Hi
I cannot believe that QuickTime, an Audio Media Player would affect the layout of Video Studio workspace.

Re: Missing Icon
Probably not but, who knows and running old versions of QT, to make things work, is not a good thing.?

Hi pepegota
You haven’t by any chance switched to Storyboard View that displays the clips as separate thumbnails and hides the tracks and Show tracks icon

Re: Missing Icon
I am well aware of the difference between storyboard view and timeline view and I am not a novice. I did not know however, about F7
I assume F7 is the same as "restore deflault" from the drop down settngs menu. If this is the case then, I already tried that with no success. I also tried selected saved views without success. The image restore is what saved the day.
