Installed X7's Service Pack 2 and now...
I installed Service Pack 2 today and now the Properties icons in the Materials palette are unavailable...greyed out! I can get them by right clicking a layer and choosing properties, but this isn't right!
The image I opened for my attachment was a PSPIMAGE with many vector layers. Forgot to say that this is the same in 32 bit and 64 bit versions.

Have you tried resetting your workspace?
Sometimes for reasons unknown updates have the potential to break current workspaces and so they have to be set back to default to fix. Once you've reset your workspace, and then configured it the way you like, make sure to save out a copy of the workspace. That way it'll be easier to restore if this ever happens again.

Re: Installed X7's Service Pack 2 and now...
I just recently reset it and restored a workspace. So that's not a problem if that's all it is.
But, I went and did that and what it did was remove the icons. Now there are only two separators there. No Lock, Unlock etc.

Re: Installed X7's Service Pack 2 and now...
Well not sure what I did differently than others but..... I installed the SP and immediately had problems with my clone tool. Reset X7 and reloaded my workspace. Did have to check a few boxes (like open in Edit mode etc.,) but everything in the workspace worked fine. My customized workspace including Palette arrangement, added buttons and scripts and toolbars was there. I will say that when I first loaded the workspace some buttons were missing, but I went up and clicked on the toolbar they appeared.
Adverts for Corel products when you close PSP don't bother me.

I manually downloaded the patch, ran it and have the same issue.

Re: Installed X7's Service Pack 2 and now...
Corel's Live Chat told me to reset. When I told her I had done that, she said to repair it. Well you can't repair an X7 installation. I have the disk, it's not there. So, instead, I uninstalled and reinstalled. It immediately wanted me to install SP2. I did. Still no layer control icons. Just separators, see my attached image. I shouldn't have let it install the Service Pack. Now I need to go uninstall and start all over. I know it would all work better with a Clean up tool for X7, but we don't have one of those yet!

Re: Installed X7's Service Pack 2 and now...
My Internet Tanked yesterday after my last post. While I was down, I removed X7 again and reinstalled without SP2. I started my customization of the workspace over from default and re-created the wheel so to speak. While I was doing that, I noticed that under Customize/Toolbars there's one for Layer tools that is checked. It would not allow me to uncheck it to see if that would remove the icons.
Someone who has lost the tool icons should go to Customize, click on the Toolbars tab and see if that is unchecked. If it is check it and see if that fixed the problem.

@ Gold Acres and all who have got the same phenomenon
Thanks Gold Acres for the tip to look into Customize - Toolbars. Being there, please click on Reset All button and in my case, it works. I have now the layers options back and I can tick/untick in Customize - Toolbars. Can you give it a try?
Thanks!

You really only need to reset the one toolbar. That way you don't have to lose any custom ones you have made. Reset All will remove them.

Thanks for clarifying, Gold Acres. I hadn't made more clear that there could be also other toolbars affected.
