Corel should support DNG for Android phones.

Post by jeehyun »

As you know Android 5.0 supports RAW file.
Now nexus 5 and 6 are available and more devices will do because this feature is very popular.
But it is dng file. I can't understand why it is dng not universal format.
Even lumia phone photo is dng file.
I don't know but Adobe and Google/Microsoft may have dirty relation.

ASP does not support these dng files at all.
I tried sample files but nothing works.
I want ASP because it is much better on quality and price than LR.
Corel should support this format.
PLZ.

OR is there any way to convert to universal format?
Thanks.

Sorry, but you seem to misunderstand what DNG is.
DNG is just a container. Knowing the structure of the container still will not allow you to make a decent image out of it, the cam still will need to be profiled.
So Corel would need to profile each of those cameras.

cheers
