Hi

Ok maybe the instant projects template is not the problem.

Go to Settings Preferences (F6) tick Show messages when inserting first video.
Start a new project
Insert the first video sample from the library, you should get a message prompting you to match the project properties, choose yes.

Go to Share – activate the top option Same as Project Settings or Same as First Video
Render that video…does that fail?

If no

Add one of your video files to the timeline, what are the properties of your video files?
Try to render again.

When you bought X8, you should have received an email from Corel saying the following:
Dear Corel Customer,

Thank you for your purchase and welcome to the Corel family! As a valued customer, you’re eligible for one-time FREE installation or activation support that must be used online within the next 30 days. If necessary, a technical expert will schedule a call-back to further assist you.

In order to submit your question for VideoStudio, you will require this support code: XXXXXXXXX. Submit your question here.
But you need to have that specific code number.

If you only bought the program two days ago, check in your spam folder in case you did not see such an email. Did you register the program when you installed it?
