I wonder if anyone has any info on a couple of features of the Browse media files dialogue that you get using the Import Media tool in the Media Library?
In the Subject and Description boxes, I was expecting to see photo metadata, but it doesn't seem to pick up the standard Windows data added to my pictures - is this for a specialised Corel product?
It also doesn't show the Subject/description that is saved with a project, although that is shown when you try to
I'm also curious as to what the Options and Tracks functions are for, as they don't seem to become enabled with any type of media I select. I suspected that the Tracks options might be for ripping CDs, but it doesn't seem to have any effect there, neither does it become enabled with a project selected.
I did search the manual and this forum, but they are common search terms. Am I missing something?

You are not clear, but do you look for this?
It's part of windows not VSX8.

Yes that is the one. It's not a pure Windows function, it's programmed into VideoStudio - it recognises VS projects.
Do you know what the features I've queried do, or at least should do?

Hi
Not sure what the problem is other than the Options and Frames being greyed out.
Yes I think the panel is created by Video Studio, I know other panels may have an Options button that is available to use, generally when manually setting the properties for renders, batch convert and some of the Custom options come to mind.
Not sure what the Track button does? Although VS did allow import of Vobs to the timeline, maybe Track relate to those being a DVD Disc file?
I can only assume the window design is used by earlier versions and not updated for the latest versions.
X6 Share Create Video File – Custom has the Options, I notice X7 has changed that windows format, indeed the whole Share options have a different layout to earlier versions.
I think they are simply left over from an earlier age..............

No problem Trevor, just curious that's all. Don't like to think there are features about a program that I don't understand
Thanks for the reply. If I ever work out what the Tracks button does I'll post back!
