Voice track stops playing during editing in VSx8
I am using VideoStudio Ultimate x8 on a Windows 8.1 machine. 12gb RAM. I just downloaded the program a few days ago and when I am editing video and alter anything in the voice track the sound stops playing. I have tried reloading the project, playing just the clip, the whole project, and other clips. None of that works. The only way I can restore the project for editing is to save the project and restart VSx8. I'm pretty sure this should not be happening but I don't know what to do. Thanks for the help.

Sorry for the delay in our reply, seems your post went missing?????
Can you give more details as to the type of files you are using?
You mention the voice track, are you using Wav files or MP3.
MP3 can cause lots of problems especially the Lame Codec. If you are using MP3 try converting to Wav, does that improve things?

The problems seem to come when I split audio and move things around that way. I am not adding mp3 or wav tracks. I am simply taking the sounds that are there, editing, and then the sounds stop coming out. I do still have functioning sound on the computer, just not on this program. Of course, tech support is closed for a long Easter weekend, so they can not help.

Can you please right click on one of the clips in the VS timeline or library window, and copy ALL its Properties here please -- or take a screen grab of the Properties box and upload it here as an Attachment. Do the same for other clips if they are from different sources. That way we might get a better idea of what formats we are dealing with here.
