Filters on Multiple Overlays

Filters on Multiple Overlays
Very new to VideoStudio, working with X7. My project involves 4 videos playing at one time, and the only way i can find to do this is by having 4 different overlays and no main track... I have my 4 videos as overlays and can play them all at once, but i want to crop the entire screen overall so that the only visible part that is not blacked out is a small area where the four corners meet. How can I put a "master filter" over the whole project?

I think it's impossible in X7. you have to render, reload and crop.
In X8 it's possible, all is needed is reloading the VSP file as flat project and apply the FX

Re: Filters on Multiple Overlays
I would use one of the masks in the "Frame" library and put that in yet a fifth overlay track so that only the middle bit showed through
If you cannot find a frame there exactly to your own purposes then use an image manipulation programme to make your own - it's just a .png with transparency.
The attached zip file is one I made but it has a circular cut-out but you can make them any shape you want
download it - unzip it - and put the resultant .png in a fifth overlay set it to fit the screen and set it's length to whatever you want
this is a "just for fun" one to show what can be done
