Hi guys,
I have lets say, a 15 minute project in the works. I decided to remove a few minutes worth of material about 1/4th of the way into the project. Question is, is there an easy way to slice that dead space out of there? I want to be able to copy all of the video clips, images, soundtracks etc. from the remaining portion of the project and "re-couple the train", or do I have to manually drag everything from right to left in the timeline to close the gap that was left from the deleted material?
All of the stuff I removed from the project has already been deleted so I basically have the video running as intended from 0:01 to 8:59 but then have this gap in the project from 9:00 to 11:30, and then the video picks back up at 11:31, ending at 15:00. I need to eliminate that middle dead piece without screwing up all of the settings already laid out in the 11:31 to 15:00 piece. Is this possible?

First set the "ripple edit" on all the tracks you want to move with your main video. Click on the "padlock" icons to the left of the timelines. Then carry out your edit.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Thanks Terfyn, I had read about ripple editing in the user guide but was having trouble understanding and getting the lock feature to work right with how I had the project laid out. After much back and forth with the set up, I finally figured it out. Thanks for your help!
