i was rendering a video into an mpeg4 hd format and crashed at 56%
i dont know where to send my dump file

cant seem to convert it into any other format either.
how am i supposed to export any files now?

Unfortunately you have not provided much information for us to reply to the actual problem.
DMP files should be sent to Corel, we are simply volunteer’s helping users with their problems, we do not work for Corel.

If you are within your free support period then contact Corel Support, access via your Corels registered account.

Corel have a facebook account, that has proved a successful option, staffed by Corel and they do reply.

If you give us some more information as to your version, (although the dmp file seems to indicate VS X6) properties of your clips in the timeline, then maybe we can help.

Can you install the latest version of QuickTime. Corel did not provide this with VS X6

It would appear you do not have service pack 1 installed - it addresses some issues with mp4 files - please download and install from :-

What are the properties of your original videos - please right click on one of them in the VideoStudio timeline and from the popup choose 'properties copy (screen shot) the properties box here with your next post

no one here knows what to do with a .dmp file - if you go to your account on Corel.com and raise a support ticket - you will have to pay - then they will tell you where to send the .dmp file

i'm not sure what model or edition my videostudio is. it just says videostudiopro so i dont know which update to download. also my pc is 64 bit, will a 32 bit download work?

Well its Video Studio 16 aka CVSX6 given you provided the version number, that also indicated not having the service pack installed.

Brian provided a link to the correct SP file.

But as I mentioned you may not have QuickTime installed

All of VideoStudio 16 is 32 bit - there was no 64 bit version of X6

The frame size of your video 952 x 520 is also rather unusual. Where did the video come from? Video Studio cannot deal with unusual frame sizes as GoPro Hero users have found when they use frame sizes like 1920 x 1440 or 1280 x 960 instead of the more "standard" 1920 x 1080 or 1280 x 720. We usually suggest in such cases that they consider using a video converter to covert the video to a more standard size and in future to set their camcorder or whatever device to use more standard sized frames.

ill look for a free converter download. but the recordings aren't from a camera, they're from bandicam. a screen capture.

A number of us here use the freeware Format Factory as a video converter, and it works well. Just be careful when installing to read and decline the offers of other software.

Can you alter the Bandicam capture format, or was this only a partial screen capture i.e. of part of the screen rather than a whole screen? It still seems a strange size...

I assumed you recorded to AVI, that would have a codec maybe Div X or Xvid
Have you installed those on your PC?
If not can you tell us what recording options are provided when using Bandicam

Does Bandicam use MP4, maybe use that to record your screens.

If you can set the frame size to 1280 x 720 that may help as it’s a standard 16:9 format.

bandicam can record in mpeg 4 but i accidentally recorded in avi.

During installation I deselected all options to install extras / browser plugins etc.
The actual program installed ok, just take care, not that the extras are viruses, just annoying malware.

If you recorded to AVI what codec was used , if X Vid, have you installed that on your pc?
