Network Deployment of PSPx7, incl SP1

Post by Mickers »

Hi,
I'm trying to deploy PSPx7 to hundreds of computers from a network install point.
I have done the 'setup.exe /a .. ' as described in the documentation, and can install silently from here.

However, I'd like to patch the server install point with SP1, and the deployment guide says this is possible (Patch.exe /a "\\server\path"). When I try this with PainShopProx7_SP1.exe, (and also with the decompressed setup.exe), it only does a local installation. Am I missing something?

Also, I need a way to disable the 'Please register' prompt on all my client machines. We don't want/need them getting prompted over and over.

Cheers.

Seems like an issue for Corel tech support if you are within your 30 days of purchase, otherwise prepare to fork out some cash for help. As far as deploying the SP1 update on the server and experiencing the problems you are isn't surprising, as I don't think Corel is used to managing network deployment of it's products as Adobe is.
Speaking for myself, but network deployment is a bit beyond the knowledge of most users in this forum.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. The 30 days support is helpful if you have one product, but when you have a suite, 7 products, I think, that need to be deployed to a network, as well as normal day-to-day work, it's gone in a flash.
Cheers.
