VST X7 Ultimate - snapshot problem

Hello again,

After last week problems upgrading from VST X7 Ultimate to X8 and contacting the Corel support here, I was requested to unistall VST X7 Ultimate to install X8... ?

Anyway, I decided to wait for the upgrade of X8 Ultimate until I am sure there are no problems anymore as I read on this web board. So I reinstalled VST X7 Ultimate from my CD's and all looked fine again. However, the "snapshot" procedure points to another video fragment instead of taking the requested "snapshot" of the video fragment?

Why is that and how to remediate?

The "take a snapshot" function produces a still image (.bmp or .jpg) of whatever is showing in the preview window at that time - are you saying that is not the case for you - how far from the image in the preview window is the image you get from the snapshot you wanted.

Yes the still image does not appear and in the VST working space, left, where all the video fragments are represented the next video fragment is pointed, and no .bmp or .jpeg to see? It worked fine before my attempt to upgrade... .

Don't see what causes the problem. X8 was uninstalled properly, I think.

Yes, does not work at all but the next fragment is "active" (on) there where the "snapshot" should be visible... .

Hi

At the top of the library there are several icons adjacent to the orange disc (GetMoreContent)
Make sure the three icons to the left are selected, showing yellow, the middle icon selects the photo media library

When you do Edit – “Take a snap shot” the image is shaved to the working folder, by default here.
C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\17.0\

Do you see images saved to the working folder?

Corel support came with another (possible... )solution but the problem was just that simple.

Sorry maybe misunderstanding, are you using VS X8

If so that has a new feature for Freeze Frame, does the same as Take a Snapshot in saving an image but automatically cuts and places the image on the timeline

No, I intended to upgrade to X8 Ultimate but after the problems with a misleading page last month on the Corel web site in Dutch, I uploaded X8 and didn't work of course to get my plug-ins (Boris, and others) and not too good advise from the support, I reinstalled X7 Ultimate and wait now until I am sure no additional problems arise.
