Pro x 7 help asap PLEASE

Post by frontierrots »

was editing a video that I need to finish asap and all of a sudden a hatched shading appeared over all the top row video clip and it no longer plays properly in the screen when playing project.

What the hell did I hit by accident? and how do I undo it NOW?

(hitting "undo" did not fix it)

Never seen that happen before, can you delete the clip from the timeline, then replace from the library, if so what happens then.

Or to be more helpful, you must have clicked on the track header in the area where the tooltip says "Disable Video track".

Odd - seems I'm replying to a RTFM post that was deleted - and the OPs last post wasn't here when I looked.

To be fair I did not find the Manual blindingly obvious. For example it does not say anything about hatched shading, just that the "eye" would be open or closed.
We, who are used to VideoStudio, do not see these as problems. This problem could have easily been overcome with another paragraph in the User Manual explaining the hatching.

I do find the X8 Manual is better written with more pictures explaining the actions
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.
