RAW file Not Showing...only JPGs

Post by Tornado »

My recent imports of Olympus EM1 ORF raw & jpg files are only showing the jpg files in ASP2 (both previous & latest version, both 64 & 32 bit). I have confirmed the raw files are present in the Windows file folder along side the jpgs. The ASP2 thumbnails appearing the FileSystem tab are from jpg only.

It's almost like my ASP2 no longer recognizes the raws from Olympus EM1...like before this camera was supported. Earlier files imported from the same camera are still showing raw versions. I have update my camera firmware within the past few months and this is the first ASP import since that update.
Could it be Olympus has modified the ORF format so ASP2 can no longer convert it?

Yes, could be.
I suggest calling Corel support.

Can you make an ORF file available?

Did some more checking. It seems all shots taken since 12/2014, in firmware v. 2.0 or the latest 3.1.4, no longer display in ASP2. But, images shot in 11/2014 or earlier, again in firmware v. 2.0 (or earlier) are displaying just fine.
This tells me it's an issue with my ASP2 environment or some setting.

Can anyone tell me the best way to clear/reset to default environment? Should I just remove & re-install?

PS Tried the "Upload Attachment" with a raw file, it just clears the message text and doesn't attach anything (too big maybe?).

First clean the cache: remove the cache directory in your AS user folder.
But, that only works for file system mode.

If you really imported into a catalog, try setting up a new one and import the files there.

Most people who do not have their own web server use something like DropBox or Google drive for large files.

BINGO! Clearing the cache folder cured issue.
Thx a million!
