Png transparency issues when imported into flash

Hello,
I'm new to the forums here but have been using Painshop Pro since it was still Jasc.
I'm currently using X4.

The problem I'm having is when I create a Png file (for a transparent background) with a semi transparent element, for instance, a drop shadow, it comes out looking fine but when I go to import the file into a flash movie (.swf) it ends up showing up as pink.

I was able to find a little info on this issue and it's not just with paint shop pro but also with photoshop.
The solutions I've seen involve using Fireworks and tweaking png settings.

I have tried different settings within the optimization settings when saving as png but nothing has worked yet.

I'd appreciate any input that may be offered.
