I have an event that I am having trouble editing.
This was a four camera shoot and one of the cameramen did not maintain position so as a result he ends up in the background of a couple of the other cameras.
Is there any way I can remove him from the shots like in PSP?
Thanks,
Rich

Hi
You could try Video Pan & Zoom pushing the camera man off screen, provided he is near the edge that is?

Re: Can a background object be removed
It really depends on what else is in the background - you may be able to mask him out - but it is not as simple as it is in Paintshop - there you have just one image - you will have 30 images per second to work on - unless a mask or chroma key can be made to work
show us a couple of frames - may give us some better ideas

Re: Can a background object be removed
I cannot pan and zoom, he appears directly behind the subjects in most frames.
Here is what I am looking at.

What's up with the remark "is this my first ever editing work"?

Re: Can a background object be removed
I'm sorry,
but asking to remove a major obstacle in a video with a ~100$ product, sounds like a novice looking for that magic feature that eliminate things in a push of a button. Where in Hollywood it cost a bit more.
** I've been asked before to focus a totally blurred video, because the client saw it's been done in a movie.
***You will need to trace them out and put new backround.

Re: Can a background object be removed
OK, now I understand the comment, thanks.
I have an PR VP that originally came from a large Adobe shop. He is constantly asking for stuff like this and frankly many times we have been able to pull it off with VideoStudio.
The more I work with this product the more I like it.
So if I understand this correctly I will have to pull the image frame by frame and mask it in a product like PSP?
I am not sure this is a doable thing for me. If it was a static background with for example a tree I needed to remove maybe, but everything is in motion on these.
I know Aftereffects has some tools to help with this. Is there something comparable in Videostudio?
