VideoStudioX7 Audio and Video out of Sync

Post by bglendi »

Everything was working fine, but now the video and the audio are out of sync. The Audio is heard before the video gets to that point. This is not after rendered, it is while trying to edit. This makes it tuff to determine where the clips should be trimmed.

I'm stuck now trying to edit and this is making it impossible, any help would be appreicated.

Most out of sync issues are system resources related. Free more unnecessary stuff.

You need to tell us more about the video you are trying to edit. Where exactly did it come from -- a smartphone, camcorder, still camera, other? Please right click on one of the clips (or more than one if the video came from different sources) and copy ALL its Properties here, or else take a screen grab of the Properties box and upload it here as an Attachment. Then we might have a better idea of what might be happening.

Hi

AVCHD video files can be quite demanding on the computer, playback from the timeline can be poor.

Video Studio can create Proxy Files for each of your Mts files, this should improve project playback.

Go to Settings to Enable Smart Proxy
Inserting a video to the timeline will activate smart proxy, creating a proxy file.
For existing clips, right click and choose Create Smart Proxy Files

They do take a while to render, then a small icon will show on the clip.
You can also view settings Smart Proxy Manager or Queue manager to check progress.

Give the proxy files a try to see if they improve project playback.

By the way you can add Jpeg images to your post using the Attachment options at the bottom of the post.

Lata,

Thank you that did help. I'll keep those setting permanent for the next project and see what happens.
