How to have three images on screen at once.

Post by secookie »

Hi

I'm using Videostudio 9 and am looking to have a "Dallas" style intro to our next Cub Scout DVD and wonder if its possible.

I know how to put to images on screen at once - one as the mian track and one as an overlay.

Is it possible to put three on? If anyone has seen the dallas intro you will know what I mean but to try to explain, the screen is split in three vertically with a different image on each one.

I would also like to know if it s possible to do the same image scroll they use on this as well. Different images come in from the left and scroll across to the right. I've tried using the entry and exit on an overlay but rather than each image coming on continuously, one image appears then moves off to the right and the next won't come on until this one has gone.

Many thanks in advance for everyone's help.

start with a blank timeline, put one of your chosen clips onto the overlay track, resize the clip and place it in the desired position. go to share and create this as a video file.

open a new blank timeline, place the videofile you just created onto the video track, place your other chosen clip on the overlay track, resize the clip and position it where you want it.

this will give you two resized clips on the same screen without losing any of the image.

this is a personal favourite of mine and you can do this as many times as you like and create multiple images on screen, time consuming but worth it for the stylish look!!

it is easier to do on higher end editing software that allows images to be resized and repositioned on any video track but this gives the same result!!

Yes, just render the first two images to combine them as one, then create another project to render it with the third image.

You can use MediaStudio Pro 7 for this function since it supports upto 4 videotracks at a time.
