I have upgraded from X4 to X7 a few months ago and have found that in both products I cannot Minimize the X7 screen when it is generating and upload to YouTube or any other site. I find this a pain in the *** when I want to do other work while the upload is in progress. Am I the only one who experiences this and if not has this been fixed in any of the later versions?
I also get pop up advertising from Corel whenever I close the app and I cannot stop this from happening.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone on these items. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Have you considered not using X4/X7 for uploading? render your clip and upload with your browser.

Thanks for the reply and you are correct, there are alternative ways to upload but my question was more focused on the capability within the product and whether other people experience the same thing.
They also don't register their products with the "Default Programs list" in windows which is a bit of a hassle when you want to work at the file level to launch VS instead of Launching VS first to load the file.

Yes a bit remiss of Corel there, I know the program seems locked when rendering and that’s the first stage of the uploading process.
I don’t use the auto YT option because I cannot view the completed file before uploading, so I render to Mpeg2 using the same settings, play the file to check quality then upload, and yes may use Video Studio to upload the file.
Are you able to see the Start and quick launch bar at the bottom of the monitor, if not press the Windows key next to Ctrl, that should show the Start menu.
You should be able to open other programs whilst uploading/rendering.

If you double click a VSP (Video Studio Project file), that will launch/run the program.
And if you wish you can associate your video files to run with Video Studio, I would not do that as I prefer to open a media player to view the files. (VLC Player)
