Video won't auto play in TV

The disk contains the video_ts folder and will play in the computer if you select the video_ts.ifo file, but it will not play in a dvd player. It does not auto start in Windows 7 Pro and if you select video_ts and select "play with" it will not play.

Sorry but you've given us very little information. What disc are you talking about: by the sounds of it, it is supposed to be a DVD. But if so, how was it made: in Video Studio or some other program?

Sorry for the lack of info. I have Windows 7 Pro and Video Studio x7 Pro. Using an mpg video file, I created a DVD disk to play on the TV. The DVD+R disk ends up with a Video_ts folder which contains bup and ifo files. It will autopolay in both Windows xp and windows 7 pro computers but will not play in my DVD player.

Would appreciate your help.

Does your player support the type of disc you are using?
Manufacturer type and DVD + R

Give some details of your DVD player?

Are you able to try another DVD player to test your discs?

i'm a bit embarrassed. The disk I was using was an RW by accident. The computer doesn't mind, but the DVD player won't play RW. I replaced it with a DVD-R and the DVD player worked fine.
