Project content over limitation

I'm having the same problem. I'm hoping there is a way around this. I can use my own shrink program and then burn to disk.

I have 3 videos in the project and they are all the same as below, with size, etc., varying slightly.

File:
.mpg file
File Format: NTSC DVD
File Size: 2,947,456 KB
Duration: 6300.934 Seconds

Video:
Video Type: MPEG-2 Video, Upper Field First
Total Frames: 188,839 Frame(s)
Attributes: 24 Bits, 720x480, 4:3
Frame Rates: 29.970 Frames/Sec
Data Rate: Variable bit rate (Max 3999 kbps)

Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 2 Files
Total samples: 302,444,845 Samples
Attributes: 48000Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
Layer: 2
Bit Rate: 224 kbps

The MPEG properties for file conversion for the project is as follows:
MPEG files
24 Bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
(DVD-NTSC), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 7000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 256 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)

I just want to create the DVD folder and/or the disc image file. There is enough required hard disk space.

Thanks!!!

the project setting you specified is higher that the properties of your source video file.

the project size calculation is based on the following factors: total video duration, video bitrate, audio bitrate, and menu contents.

I suggest you decrease the video bitrate to make the project fit on a 4.7gb disc. Since there are 3 videos with almost the same properties and its probably over 2hrs of video, you may need to set the bitrate to 2500kbps or lower. make sure the "Do not convert compliant...." option is unchecked to force the software to encode the video. there will be a quality lost but will be able to fit it on 4.7 disc if you intend to burn it later.
