Refresh Plugins List ?
Is there any way to refresh the Plugins List in X7 without having to close all images and the program and reopen?

Re: Refresh Plugins List ?
What exactly do you mean by refresh? What is wrong with the plugins? Are you using the 32bit version, as that's the only version that works with 32bit plugins?

Re: Refresh Plugins List ?
refresh the list, as in install a plugin but then it's not available in the list unless you close out PSP. Then it's on the list the next time you open PSP because the list is "refreshed" every time you open the program.
Is there a way to make it "refresh the list" without having to close the program like it does with tubes, etc.

Re: Refresh Plugins List ?
I don't have to refresh/restart PSP to see plugins. You don't add the plugins directly into PSP.
With PSP closed, add the plugins to the Plugin folder in Documents / PaintShop Pro / 17 / Plugins. If you haven't already, make sure File Location is directed to that folder. Some filters require installation. You have to set where the filter is in File Location.

"I don't have to refresh/restart PSP to see plugins."
That's what I thought. So if you add a .8bf plugin to the plugin folder while PSP is open, you can see the plugin on the list and use it right then?
I was thinking that was the way it used to be. I know it's that way with tubes, etc.
That's why I'm asking because when I add an .8bf plugin it doesn't show on the plugins list until I open PSP----THE NEXT TIME.
So how are you getting it to show? Or is there something wrong with my copy of PSP.

Re: Refresh Plugins List ?
Note what Maureen said in her reply. She said "With PSP closed", which would have the same effect as closing and reopening PSP to refresh the list. I don't have X7 but with X6 I do have to close and reopen PSP before a newly installed plugin will show up in the list. I think it has been that way with all versions of PSP.

Re: Refresh Plugins List ?
I've just installed PSPx7 on my desk top. Installed DeNoise plugin. I had to close the program and reopen to see DeNoise. No big deal. Many programs ask you to close and reopen to activate changes.
