I want to share a stupid error I had.

Post by asik1 »

I just finished ~120min of render a 80min event.
As always I review the movie file and noticed about 15 min of audio out of sync in the middle of the piece.
I didn't know what happens, I first blame it on the VS import of the mts's right from the camera which I normally never do.
But why other files are OK??
Than I right click the clip on the timeline and found the culprit, it has speed marked on.
Removed it and life is bright again.

I was lucky to spot it now, and not after 5 hours of YouTube upload and than a call from the customer...

Thanks for sharing that, asik. But can you explain in a bit more detail what you mean by "speed marked on"...?

You know you can set clip speed by just dragging one end + shift. I guess I did so just for few frames during tests I'm running here. The problem, I was doing so on a working project
when a long clip play at 99.5% one can miss that.
So when I saw speed is checked at 100% I knew it is wrong, as it shouldn't be checked at all.
