videostudio pro x7 veery slow and crashing

Post by gsax »

did check out the demo-version. great! did buy pro x7 ultimate. deinstalled (windows 7) the old version. installed all components ( VSX7_Ult_PF_x64, VSX7_Ultimate_Bonus_64bit and free fx package). now: even importing small MP4 (300MB) VSX7 starts being VEERY SLOW. checking used RAM: 4-6.5GB!! after working quite a while, win7 says: VSX7 does not working any more, looking for a solution. then win ends the app. BTW: same job plus 2 additional (!) MP4 to edit: Sony Movie Studio Platinum 13.0 needs ONLY 350-400K RAM!! deinstalled everything, just installed the basic VSX7 package: no change. any idea what could be the problem? thx very much!

If you have installed SP1, do an uninstall, and reinstall, but do NOT install the SP1 update.

Hope that helps, BUG-EYED.

thx bug-eyed. problem: when SP1 has been allready pre-installed it can't be uninstalled by the user (microsoft).
so i can't even try this. what is really strange, is the ram consuming issue. as i said: sony movie studio 13 uses for editing the same group of clips around 400MB RAM, VS7 more then 6 GB. very strange...
