installing PSP X4

Post by winb »

Hi, I have just upgraded my computer from 32 bit to 64 bit, still the same operating system Windows 7 Professional. My hard drive has been formatted and the operating system re-installed.
I am trying to install PSP X4... It had been installed successfully when 32 bit, but this time I get an error message during the installation. I get past where I put in my serial number and click "install now", it goes for a short time, then I get the error message. I have tried to attach it but the browse button is not active.
The message says... Installation Wizard not completed. Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again.Click Finish to exit the wizard. The storage control block address is invalid
I have no idea what the last part of the message means. It is a legal copy, I have my receipt and order number, I purchased and downloaded it when there was a special in 2011, for those who had PSP 10 and upwards.
Hope someone can help.
Thanks

After many hours of searching, I've found the exact problem here

Hopefully I'll be able to fix the problem from there, but I'd appreciate any input.

Thanks to the link I sent in previously, I have now successfully installed PSP X4. It appears to open up OK, I haven't tested any files, but it looks OK... just have to set up my special workspace, and shortcuts.
Thanks for the information about updating my profile, will get to it as soon as I can...
I have many programs yet to be installed.
Cheers
