VS X8 Problem installing

The install went to 50% complete (configuring Corel VS X8). Then all stalled, computer froze. After 1/2 hour i forced computer off.One pop up said "No Storage to load BB.
Under EDIT, I have No Samples, No Triple Scoop Music, No Auto Music. Otherwise seems to work ok. All i have done so far is add a video and make a title. I do not get an error message.
Also in the control panel , VS X8 is not listed, so i can not delete.
I have lots of free space on Windows 7. What should i try to do?

Download the attached zipped X8 clean up tool

unzip it and run the resulting .exe file

try installing again.

Thanks Brian. I ran X8 cleanup. See attachment. I had no luck installing again. Said still installed, do you want to overwrite? No good.
I will ask Corel for money refund. You may have to double click attachments. I miss the CD installs. Thanks again, Warren

Too bad you did not expand the name column so that we could see what those "part" files are.

Obviously if the install only went to 50% and you terminated it then you have a corrupt install and anything you try to do will only make things worse.

I have a refund coming from Cleverbridge. No problem. I have cleaned VS x8 out of my machine. Now i will buy a DVD copy (i will see if seller has a return policy) and hopefully that will install OK. Do you think the price will come down in near future? Just too bad this way is more money lol..Cheers!

X8 has only just been released - not even a month yet - prices are unlikely to come down for a while.

INCOMPLETE INSTALL of x8-Ultimate:

I do not have ANY material in the libraries Instant project, General, HD Projects, Graffiti, or HTML5.

I've opened a case ticket 02248772 and Inocencio has given me the same cut-and-paste answer twice.
- resetting the program to the factory defaults; 9 steps provided saying:
... renamed Ulead Systems/Corel VideoStudio Pro/18.0 ..Rename 18.0 to 18.0_old
- re-install the Program content pack included on your order confirmation

So I did that and after 6+ hours wasted [good that I'm retired] I still have the same incomplete install.

Ok Brian - I ran that ... did a full re-install [the three .EXE files that came with my purchase confirmation and serial number]

Pressed Install-All ... then press each individually. No help with Boris

I selected install all ... then later came back and selected each individually.
Still have nothing in those 5 instant project folders.

Oh and look at the 102 templates I have in my C:\Users\Jim\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate folder

So why don't I have any of these showing in my library ??

I have 30-days support after my Feb 28 purchase - and I'm getting zero Corel resolution assistance ... so I'm appealing to the community.
I wish somehow I could get this case reassigned to Austin ... on x7 problems & questions he was TERRIFIC

I don't know that I can help a great deal as to why your instant projects are not showing - but what did occur to me while reading your post is that the splash screen you are showing is for the extra bonus content for VS ultimate - not the standard "Contents" download which is the one which contains all the templates etc.

did you install - - VideoStudioX8_2Contents .exe

Yes [see note hidden above the blue screen shot] I did install all three .EXE programs that came with my purchase confirmation

I see you have downloaded all "do more" stuff.
If you have them all showing in your VSX7 than open the \17.0\en-US folder
and copy VS_ProjectTemplate.dat and VS_ProjectTemplate_HTML5.dat to the \18.0\en-US folder.
It will get you going until Corel answer.
(Backup the originals)

Hi Jim

There are two issues here, the Ultimate Bonus Pack, your Blue Image installed the package, they should show in the FX library pages.

The Do-More downloads installs Instant Project templates.
These install folders to your VSPTemplate folder as your list

They should populate the Instant Projects library, second icon down, first selected this will import any available templates. You have a lot.

Indecently the last 16 showing in your list are from the installation of Graffiti, jitter Code to Wavy Write ON

You have downloaded and installed a lot of Instant Projects, you may use them all but I doubt that. The problem is viewing the templates before installing, just not possible.
But I tend to move the folders to my own folder calling it “My VSPTemplate folder”. Leaving the 16 Graffiti folders.
Each / most folders contain a VSP file, this allows me to view the template before adding to the library.
When I like one I simply copy the folder to the “VSPTemplate folder”
That way I don’t have my library full of templates I wont use.

If you choose to do this you may have to re-set the library or reset the program, re-naming the 18.0 folder.
