videostudio x7 pro re-installation

Post by lennie »

Hi, I am a newbie and just registered,

I am running x7 pro on windows xp and have dowloaded software from a purchased DVD.

My problem is that somehow I have corrupted the files and cannot uninstall or indeed re install program from the DVD. Corel X7 pro is no longer listed in add/remove programs either. System restore will no longer work!!

Please can someone suggest a solution.

Regards

Lennie

Corel has a cleanup tool you can download. Better check with someone with more knowledge than me though.

You can try this clean-up tool - download - unzip - and run the resulting .exe file - then attempt to install from the disc again

Hallo Brian,

Many thanks for the Clean Up tool, It worked a treat. Everything now seems to be working correctly.
I have never before had such a good response from any of the forums I have joined in the past!

I thought I was going to have to do a System Recover with all that entails.

Many thanks once more

Lennie
