Portrait 1280x720 (or would it be 720x1280 since it's portrait? )video shot on an iphone gives me a MOV file I was easily able to edit. I'd like to export it for my Samsung galaxy S4 in mp4 format. Not sure what are best output settings and how to even do it correctly.
I've tried several times with the different mobile "Export to mobile device" settings but the video is tiny (taking up only 1/3 -1/2 of the real estate of the S4.
I'm under the impression the best video settings for the S4 are 854X480 H264 30 FPS 2000 KBPS.
How can I set that in Video Studio Pro X6? Does it matter that it's in portrait?
thanks in advance!
Pete

Re: Galaxy S4 settings editing Iphone video
The best settings would be the screen resolution of the S4.

Hi Pete
also always record in Landscape, thats the shape of video, your tv displays in landscape.
Your Portrait recordings will only use about a third/half of the screen.
I dont have a Samsung galaxy S4, nor any sample mp4 video so cannot comment on the best format.
However Video Studio does have a default 1280 x 720 mp4 template, also can use 848 x 480, very simular to your video.

Re: Galaxy S4 settings editing Iphone video
Is there a place I can go online to get other people's Movie Templates?
I have no idea how to make these and I'd love to try other peoples pre made templates. (like in Handbrake)
The video I was editing (w/o any difficulty) was someone elses portrait video of a flip on skis shot on an iphone.
So I wanted to optimize it on my phone for viewing (without ridiculous) black margins.
I should be able to nicely fill the screen of my S4 with an edited portrait video shouldn't I?
Thanks!
Pete
