I'm with Trevor on that Brian, if a page is X8 related than it better have the proper links.
It's not for us, it's for average Joe who might get to the page from google and would like to view the relevant guide.

You would use that route if you were intending to purchase the program or download the trial.
New users should be able to download the User Guide for X8, I am sure its just an oversight on Corels part.

Besides the post is referring to the Corel web site not the help links from the installed program.

My daughter wanted to verify the VS X8 Ultimate ;went to the Corel WEB site ;and click on the VS X8 Icon for Download; and then click the PDF User Guide and got the VS X7 Guide (268 pages)

For me that's the way that most potential/current users would go for.

Is that means that for a potential /current user the only way to see the proper VS X8 User guide you must download the trial....

I have just visited a number of worldwide websites - the full version of X8 was available on all of them - and when clicking on the user guuide link (ON THE COREL WEBSITE) I link to the X8 guide.

well it does seem to depend on how you access the Corel Site

Use the Corel.com link at the top of the forum and that route gives X8 User Guide.

As i said they will sort it eventually
