Plug-in page updated!

Post by Hobgoblin »

Good to see that Corel have now updated the Plug-in page http://www.aftershotpro.com/en/plugins/default.html

64bit Plug-ins are now shown on the index page.

64bit Zone plugin is not available for Linux however, as far as I can see all others are.

Yes it's good, but I would have hoped they would have wanted to keep a bit shorter update cycle than they have at present. The 64 bit versions and other plugin updates has been among Corel's "best kept secrets" for 6 months on average. For this reason I have avoided that page and looked into this plugin section here for info and updates. A more automated updating system between Corel and the plugin developers should have been in place so that these idiotic delays doesn't happen in the future.

Also still missing some of my most used plugins for 64 bit. For that reason I can't run anything else than the 32 bit version of ASP. I have mentioned it before, and that is that the GradFilter in my opinion should have been an internal layer selection tool and not a plugin. The gradient filter is one of the strongest reasons that keeps me from migrating from 32 bit to a 64 bit environment. asGPS is another good reason to stick with the 32 bit version, as I do much geotagging by map in AfterShot.

My sentiments exactly!
There really doesn't seem to be any way to influence Corel's thinking on this.
But perhaps some forceful lobbying will take place now that the Plug-in developers can speak frankly in their own Sub-Forum!!
