Tapes NTSC - Video player PAL, can read NTSC - capture BW

Hello,

I have video tapes in NTSC format. My video player is mainly PAL, but it can _read_ NTSC. If I capture the tapes in NTSC, I get them in black and white. If I switch to PAL, I get a frozen image in colour, and that's it. If I start in PAL, I get a dark screen. Of course, everything is OK when I use PAL tapes.

Is there any other solution than buying a genuine NTSC video player ?

Did you change your project settings to NTSC?
