Creating an image

Post by mypyrex »

Hello, I'm a bit new to all this and I'm using a trial version of Paint Shop Pro X7.
I need to create an image of a fluttering flag(if possible animated) for inclusion in a website but I can't find any clear, simple, idiot proof assistance or instructions.
Can anyone help me please? :(

PSP does not natively support animation. So if you're wanting to make a fluttering flag, you might want to look somewhere else.

However, you can still use PSP if you'd like to, you will use PSP to create each individual frame of the animation and then combine each image into a final animation using a different piece of software. However, since I don't do any of that I can't advise on a good software.

I do know that the GIMP has the ability to created animated GIF files.

Yes, that will suffice but I can't find any instruction for doing so.

It is a long process to do it in PSP and if you are new and use PSP for the first time, it is difficult to achieve the task.
Why not search on Google where you may find already done work, like this:

The below tutorial is a (relatively) easy method to create a rippling flag effect in PSP (at least it is if Corel haven't changed displacement maps in the last several versions). Animation will require a little more work and a separate animation program.
