Audio levels meter in X9?

Post by asik1 »

No need to wait for X9, I just stumble on this lovely thing
http://www.darkwooddesigns.co.uk/pc2/meters.html

You can set it to be ON TOP and it will show levels on playback all the time.

** Settings is right click on the meters

Brian, I tried it this morning but for some reason it didn't show on my XP and as it is rather large on a single screen system I uninstalled it before solving the problem.

Come to think about it, I think it's better to have a separate window for these meters so one can place them to his convenience and limitation.

I downloaded the peak level meter. It will float and I can move it to my second screen (Preview screen) to keep it clear of the VS control icons.

Don't forget that all current versions of VideoStudio already have a continuous volume display

For some reason I'm getting an error running the meters on my 7 boot, on XP works great. Maybe it doesn't like my 5$ sound-card on 7.

I must be missing something somewhere

I have downloaded an installed a number of variations - but every one I've tried only shows input levels - that's no good to me I want to see levels on the sound card while editing

Is there one to indicate output levels ?
