When I first installed PI10 the Photo Effects options all had "Quick Samples" displayed. Foolishly I ticked the box saying don't show these Quick Samples next time. Now I can't get them back.
According to the online help, the option in Preferences|PhotoImpact entitled "Display Quick Samples" is supposed to re-enable them; but this doesn't seem to work properly for me. Quick Samples come back in some but not all of the effects dialog boxes.
Anybody know how to force PI10 to display them again (without reinstallation). Or reset all settings back to an installation default?
Cheers
Nigel

That is not a problem all of the default settings can be reset.
On the Command Menu Item named Workspaace all of the settings you will need to reset the Quick Command Panel are there. The most important two are to check Workspace\Panel Manager and Workspace\Panels\Quick Command Panel. Make sure they are checked on the Menu and they should all come back to the right side of your screen as a list of icons.

I can't say I've found anything relevant in the registry.
Actually it's kind of weird because turning the "Quick Samples" option on & off (via the Preferences|General tab) does seem to work for SOME of the Photo & Effect Dialogs.
However, I'm sure some of them (in particular the "Levels" Dialog) used to have Quick Samples with an option to turn them off, and now that I've used that option to turn them off, they are staying steadfastly on the Dual/Spilt view dialogs instead.
Clearly the Quick Samples toggle has not been properly & fully implemented throughout the program.
