Changing overall look of PSP

Post by Stumann »

I've been using PSP since Jasc owned it. I have been using it for several years with no issues or reasons to get help. I recently got a new computer and I'm loading PSP on it. I came here for some help. The version I have is PSP X3. I tried to access the help section of my PSP and got a message that the page no longer exists. I bought this version in 2012, it's really not that old and it does everything I need it to do. I can't believe that Corel no longer has a help section for this version. When I first go it, it was the first version that has the dark background with the lighter fonts. I didn't care for that so I changed it back to a light grey background with dark fonts like the older version. No that I have reloaded the program, it has the dark background with the light fonts and I can't figure out where to make the changes. Can anyone help me? Here's a pic of what I'd like it to look like.

Try View/Use Graphic Workspace Theme.

With a normal installation you should also have 'offline help' for PSP X3 installed on your computer. This is the (Windows 7 64-bit) web browser/Windows Explorer address:

[program drive letter]\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel PaintShop Photo Pro\X3\PSPClassic\Languages\EN\Help\wwhelp\wwhimpl\js\html\wwhelp.htm

Change [program drive letter] to your drive, like 'C:' .
Or use Windows Explorer to navigate to the 'wwhelp.htm' file and double-click on it. Windows should open your browser and the help file.
Maybe add to your browser favorites or a shortcut on your desktop.

Thanks, Brucet. Sometimes it's so simple, you can't see it.

Forriner,

The path you gave is almost right; Here's what worked for me.

{drive letter}:\Program Files(x86)\Corel\Corel PaintShop Photo Pro\X3\PSPClassic\Languages\EN\Help\wwhelp\wwhimpl\api.htm

This opened up the help section. If you look at the address after it opens, it will read like the path you sent me (strange).
