Actually Ken if you follow aussijoe's link it appears that X8 is available NOW - there is no mention of any release restrictions and for me anyrate prices are quoted in GBP as £59.99 for the full version and £43.99 for the upgrade.

I subscribe for the year. Plenty there. I am mainly a Pinnacle Studio user so there is a lot offered there for Pinnacle users. I am sure that as time goes on, there will be more offered specifically for the VSP user. I watched the tutorial on audio ducking. Fascinating. Especially if you do voice overs and have other audio playing.

Also, if you download, I believe you can purchase it now.

asik -- I hope there is a separate ad somewhere for the Ultimate version since the one you posted an image of is, of course, only for the Pro version which does not contain all the extra plug-ins that come with the Ultimate pack. I also haven't yet seen any ad which notes that you have to pay extra to get the Blu-Ray burning module...

With regard to the latter, I note that in the blurb for even the Ultimate version, there is not even a mention of Blu-Ray directly, and though it mentions AVCHD and "authoring", what is advertised is X8's ability to author disc image (iso) files not the discs themselves...:

If you then choose the option to buy the next page offers you the option to buy the programme and buy the Blu-ray add -on as well

or Ultimate.
