Re: How to exit a Lorem Ipsum transition
Hi Ken,
Couldn't you just right click on the title in the timeline and select delete, or, if the project has not been saved, click the undo button

Re: How to exit a Lorem Ipsum transition
The title effects only appear if you pull them to the timeline. Just click on T and type your title as normal, there will be no "title effect".
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

Moreover, the Lorem Ipsum titles are all -- each and every one -- totally customisable! Just play around with them and like me you will probably (or at least possibly!) come to love them...!!!

Re: How to exit a Lorem Ipsum title
Hi Kenneth
After selecting any title from the library, those settings will be used for new titles / texts created by you.
You have to reset the Text Backdrop, Border / Shadow / Transparency options from the Edit tab, set your own font / sizes
Then Set the appropriate Animations from the Attributes tab
Once you have created a new text / title to your liking, drag it to the library as a copy.
When you need a new title using those settings simply use that, then change the text.

1 I double click the screen- the flashing "cursor" shows
2 I delete the LI title in the title track
3 Re "You have to reset the Text Backdrop, Border / Shadow / Transparency options from the Edit tab, set your own font / sizes"
4 What is meant exactly by this? I change the options but when I type new text the colour and text size has changed but it still has the L I unwanted animation.
5 Cant find a way to " drag it to the library as a copy."

Re: How to exit a Lorem Ipsum title
Ken -- if you just want to make your own title and not use the preset titles which come with VS, then simply left click in the Title timeline track. (I am assuming here that if you already had a preset Title there that you simply select it and delete it, so in effect the Title track is now empty at that point.)
After left clicking in the Title track, the words "Double-click here to add a title" will appear in the preview screen. Do as it says and double left click. You'll get a blinking cursor closely surrounded by a dotted line enclosure. You should also now be able to see to the bottom right of the screen all the settings for Font, size etc. Change these to whatever you want. Go back to the blinking cursor and type the Title you want. The dotted line enclosure will expand to surround the title.
To position the title where you want it on screen, left click anywhere on the screen except within that dotted line. Now you should get yellow (and pink) blocks appearing around the dotted enclosure. To move it, position the arrow cursor on the dotted enclosure (on, not in) and click and hold the left mouse button, while moving the box to where you want it on the screen. Clicking on the yellow dots allows you to increase or decrease the size of the title, and clicking on the pink dots allows you to rotate it.
When satisfied, simply left click on the screen outside the dotted box and the box will disappear. To edit the text later, simply put the cursor within the title and double left click. The blinking cursor will reappear and you can begin editing the title...

Re: How to exit a Lorem Ipsum title
I did not mention I am using X7
1 Left clicking on empty title track only repositions time line scrubber.
2 Double clicking empty tile track brings up presets in library and “double click here” on screen.I d/c screen.
3 I set my parameters, type and the title shows without animation- this is what I was after.
4 The text shows surrounded by dotted white lines,I am now on familiar grounds.
5 Clicking outside the box gives 3 small yellow squares at each end and one each centrally placed at the top and bottom lines. Dragging these expand the box and the pink nodes tilt it
6 To move the text I drag from inside the box.
7 Can I conclude here that the initial left click on the empty title track gets me out of a preset or this not necessary and it is the initial double click on the empty title track that does that ?

Re: How to exit a Lorem Ipsum title
The only reason I would single click in the title timeline is to set the position for the new title - titles are inserted where the cursor is
you can achieve the same result by playing/moving the cursor until it is in the position you want the title to start - although it can be moved any where after creation of course.
As an alternative to double clicking in the timeline you can just single click on the large 'T' to the right of the preview window - this opens up the "Double click here to add a title" option just as your step two does - it is your choice which you find most convenient.
then double click in the preview screen and continue from your step 3
You could add right at the end - - "to exit the title creation mode click on any other icon down the side of the preview screen"
I would normally choose the very top one to open the library folders again to continue with editing

Re: How to exit a Lorem Ipsum title
I have no idea how you manage that.
I can't help feeling that you have somehow set a default attribute on the title track - goodness knows how
does this happen if you start a brand new project and put just maybe one video in the top track and then follow the procedure ?

Re: How to exit a Lorem Ipsum title
So - to get this clear - when you open a brand new instance of VideoStudio there is already a preset title in the title track ?
