I have a Sony DRX840U for burning DVD's. This has worked in the past. However, now I'm trying to burn a DVD that I have created with Video Studio Pro X4. My Computer recognizes the Sony Equipment. For the Disc Type I put in a disc but tells me it is empty and will not recognize the disc to burn. The Video to burn data on the lower part of the info is 3.17(3.40)GB 54 min. I'm using a Memorex DVD+R 4.7GB 120min disc to try and burn to.
Thank You for your help......

Re: Burn a DVD
Just to be clear, your computer recognizes your burner. You put the Memorex disc in the burner, but the computer (not Video Studio) says the drive is empty. If that is the case, of course you can't burn. Two possibilities: one is that your burner is going bad. The second is that that disc is no good. Try the next few in the stack. I once had a whole spindle of Memorex + R discs that seem like many of them didn't work. Try you discs in another computer and see if they can be read.
Next time try Verbatim -R instead.
