I am rendering a 3 hour home video with a few FX in BLURAY format (M2T) after selecting the MPEG OPTIMIZER option. Before the optimization the project size was 22.7GB and after the optimization it is 20.1GB.
After almost 7 hours it has completed only 45%. The question is that can I pause the rendering and resume tomorrow. If so should I hibernate or simulate a abnormal shutdown so that I can simply resume windows tomorrow.
I do not want all the 7 hours rendering to go waste.
Please suggest.

Re: Pausing and Resuming rendering
Well you can certainly pause and resume the rendering by clicking on the pause symbol at the right hand end of the rendering progress bar
BUT
I do not know of anyone who has switched their computer off and back on again while paused - and whether the partial render is lost in that process
Most people faced with a long render simply leave the computer on and rendering and go to bed - there is nothing to do when the process completes so you do not need to be there.
