I'm a real novice with VisualStudio X7 Ultimate, but I'm having a lot of fun learning...
Just finished my first video and I put an animated title at the beginning of the video right in the video track. Looks pretty cool, but I'd like the title to remain on display for a few seconds longer before moving to the next clip. If I extend the title in the timeline, yes, the whole title clip remains visible longer, but all it really does is extend the animation so that it fills the whole time. I'd like the animation to FINISH and then have the title remain fully visible for a couple of seconds. How can I do that? If I have to insert a blank clip between the title and the first video clip, how do I do that? Or is there a better way?
Still on the topic of titles... If I place a title in the title track and have it positioned exactly where I want it on the timeline (related to a specific video clip) and make any changes to other video clips, the alignment of the title in the title track changes. Is there a way to LOCK a title to a specific place in a video clip?
Thanks for any help...

OK - on the first point - best option there is to stop the title just before it ends - then take a snapshot of the video and insert the resultant image in the timeline between the title and the beginning of the video - then - as it is a still image you can make it's duration to whatever you want.
On the second point - what you need to do is enable "Ripple Editing" - this locks the tracks to each other so that clips stay in the correct relationship to each other
Ripple editing is enabled and tracks locked to each other using the padlocks at the left end of the timeline - see below

Re: Animated Title Display Time
Thanks for your prompt and helpful reply, Brian.
Can you clarify for me (remember, I'm a novice!) what you mean exactly by "... then take a snapshot of the video and insert... " Snapshot? How?
About the ripple editing, if there are MANY small clips in the video track and only some of them have titles in the title track that must stay in the same relative position, does the ripple editing solve that? Or does it lock ALL the clips and tracks in position? Could I still pick up one of the video clips and move it to another position while keeping the other clips and their titles aligned?

Re: Animated Title Display Time
Using a combination of Play/stop and manual moving of the timeline cursor using the mouse get the very end of the tile in the preview window
click on the small "edit" up in the top left corner of the VideoStudio screen - from the drop down which appears click on "Take a snapshot"
VideoStudio will make an image of that frame and put a thumbnail in the library pane.
Using you mouse select that thumbnail and while holding the left mouse key down drag it down into the timeline at the join between title and video - release the left key - all other videos slide right to allow it in - set it's length.
..
Ripple editing locks all clips in a 'locked' track to the top one so that they move as you edit the top track - but if you click on a clip and hold while you slide you can move it manually to a new position.
