[SOLVED] [X5] Replace audio track; Prepend text

Post by Shohreh »

Hello

I went through the tutorials but didn't find the answers to those two newbie questions:
  • How to replace the audio track of the main videos with an MP3 file instead?
  • How to prepend a plain black text + white background to present a video?
Incidently, are there other good sources of information/education about Corel VideoStudio besides Corel's Tutorials and this forum?

Thank you.

To replace the audio - first RIGHT click on the video in the timeline and from the pop-up choose "Mute Audio" - now import your Mp3 to one of the audio tracks - now go to "Share >> create video File" and render out a new video with the new soundtrack incorporated.

To create a plain title - first drag a white colour block from the 'Color' library down into the beginning of the timeline - click on the 'T' next to the preview window - now in the preview window double click as instructed and type your text - click anywhere else on screen to set and save the title.

There are numerous tutorials on Youtube - just search for 'VideoStudio'

Thanks much for the videos.

In case a video is made of multiple video segments, it appears that Muting the audio track must be done for each and every video clip, but other than that, it worked fine. As did prepending plain text.

You could have done multiple clips by selecting the first one - then going to the last one and holding down 'Shift' while you selected it - all clips would then be selected and a right click and 'Mute' would have silenced them all
